How does GOG verify lawyers?
Every lawyer’s Bar Council enrolment number is verified against official Bar Council of India and State Bar Council databases before their profile is activated. We also conduct court standing checks and validate specialisation claims. Verification is repeated annually.
You are never locked in. Before committing to an engagement, you can consult up to three advocates. If you’ve begun an engagement and are genuinely dissatisfied, our client success team can facilitate a transfer. Escrow funds are protected throughout any transition.
When you engage an lawyer, you deposit the agreed fee into a GOG Escrow account. lawyers cannot access these funds until you confirm milestone completion. In the event of a dispute, GOG’s Resolution Team reviews evidence from both parties and makes a determination within 5 business days.
GOG has verified lawyers in all 28 states and 8 Union Territories. Our network covers District Courts, High Courts, the Supreme Court, NCLT/NCLAT, consumer forums, tax tribunals, and several specialised quasi-judicial bodies.
Yes. All communications between clients and advocates are end-to-end encrypted. GOG staff cannot read these messages. Case documents shared through our secure portal are encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not sell, share, or monetise client data in any form.
